Two dazzling young entertainers, Skinny Fabulous, the energetic soca artiste from St Vincent & the Grenadines; and Stylo G, the Spanish Town-born reggae fusion recording artiste who is based in Britain, will spearhead the delivery of the excitement at Mawnin Medz on Sunday.
The party which will be held in Montego Bay, St James, at the scenic Tropical Bliss Beach. It will be the first in a long week of activities for Reggae Sumfest 2019. Unlike the other events on the calendar of the seven-day event, which spans July 14-20, Mawnin Medz will take place at daylight. It begins at the crack of dawn, 6:00 a.m., and continues until 1:00 p.m. at an exotic venue, which is like a hideaway with crystal-clear water and beautiful white sand.
“This is a venue that I really love. It is just beautiful, and the prospect of breakfast on the beach is something that I find most enticing,” said Jean Samuels, who admits to spending a lot of time at the beach, which is in the proximity of the Sangster International Airport, the old JDF camp, and one of the popular hotels in the Sandals chain.
While the event is expected to evolve into a meet and greet with members of the promotion team, the sponsors and personalities from the Montego Bay social circuit are expected to be out in their numbers for the type of ‘sand, sea, and sun’ experience for which visitors to the island pay big money. The turntables should be blazing hot with rich musical selections from a classy cast of selectors headed by DJ Crazy Neil, DJ Courtney, DJ Jigga, and Antsman, all masters of their craft.
