St Thomas has produced entertainers including Popcaan, Morgan Heritage, Bush Man, and hot newcomer Chronic Law. Next out of the blocks is Hot Frass from the district of Hampton Court.

He is enjoying attention through his breakthrough song Polo which features deejay Takeova.

“I am a humble youth and I love music. My style is different, full of metaphors and my image is different,” said Hot Frass.

A former student at the Paul Bogle High School, Hot Frass (given name Romaine Lindsay) excelled at cricket and studied the sciences. He thought of pursuing a career in medicine but after being kicked out of school, those ambitions were dashed.

“I began hustling in St Thomas at a primary school, and one of my friends discouraged me and told me to use my voice in music,” he said.

Since embarking on a music career, Hot Frass has worked with several producers including Charly Pro, Flydie Wise and Claims Records.

Polo has been a game-changer for him.

“I have been able to do a lot of things that I’ve always wanted to do, ever since Polo took off. Now I can provide financial support to my mother,” he shared.

Cupcake, the follow-up single from Hot Frass, is produced by Claims Records.
